Dream Team Meeting With Greg Fischer

The following is information sent from the Southwest Dream Team:

Good Morning. Just a friendly reminder about our next Southwest Dream Team meeting. We welcome the Democratic candidate for Mayor of Louisville, Greg Fischer. Please be prepared for plenty of questions for Greg, as we engage with him about our dreams for Southwest Louisville and how we can fully attain the dreams of merger.

We also will share the information that came out of our recent Southwest Dream Team board meeting last week. We have set some priorites and are anxious to share them with our members. You do not want to miss this meeting. The meeting will be held Wednesday evening June 2nd at 5p.m. It will be held at the Southwest Center, 8009 Terry Rd. We all hope to see you there.

The Dream Team will be holding another meeting, featuring the Republican Primary winner, Councilman Hal Heiner in the next few weeks.

Rubbertown Economic-Development Meeting

 There will be a "Rubbertown Economic-Development Meeting" at the Nia Center, 2900 W. Broadway, on Thursday, June 3 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. There is no news on why this meeting is being held on West Broadway, five miles from Rubberown. Budget Committee Meets Today

The Louisville Metro Council’s Budget Committee will begin its review of the proposed FY 2010 budget today, June 1st at 3:30pm. Officials with the Abramson Administration and Dr. Paul Coomes, of the University of Louisville will present a report on projected revenues and be available to answer question about where Metro Government stands with regard to the economic recovery.

The Committee will break at 5:00pm to discuss two items that are on the regular Budget Committee Agenda.

There will be live web streaming of the hearing that can also be accessed by the Metro Council Home Page and clicking on the “Watch Meetings Online” icon.
