3 out of 4 ain't bad: Upcoming SW Metro meetings!

If you have a local government issue, question, or concern that you would like to have addressed by a live person, there are three (3) upcoming opportunities for you to do so (with one notable absence, as always).

Three of the four Southwest Louisville representatives of the Metro Council have events for constituents to air concerns. As is the usual custom, District 14 has no meetings or communications with residents. None whatsoever. Not even a monthly or yearly email.

If you live in District 14, I urge you to attend one of these meetings instead. You can have your concern addressed by a capable, competent and trustworthy representative that has made him or herself physically present for a frank, casual conversation. The people below are not hiding from you or avoiding your calls. They, unlike the District 14 office, go out of their way to hold meetings so they can listen to what you have to say. Please oblige them! And remember to VOTE in November!

  1. Glad to see that even your liberal bias doesn't prevent you for openly admitting District 14 lacks leadership. On election night, Southwest Jefferson County will win... regardless.

    1. I have a liberal bias. Yes. You're goddamned right I do. That's what I am. No apologies.

But I'm also someone who calls it like I see it. There is no leadership in 14. Never has been. I tried in the past to like Bob Henderson, but he would not allow it because he is too arrogant and foolish. I even advised friends in District 14 and on this blog to vote against him. My personal experience with him tells me he is a shady backstabber, disloyal to his friends and his to his party, and only serves himself. That's not what being in office is about. It really isn't. I don't care what political party he's a member of. If you aren't doing the work, you have to clean out your desk and get the hell out of the way.

District 14 will only win in November if there is a qualified candidate who takes the interests of the residents of District 14 to city hall. I don't know if that can happen, but I hope it will and that people can be satisfied with the result.

Anything will be better. I could run my dog and beat Henderson in an election today. It is safe to say he has been roundly rejected.

      Thanks for writing.

    2. Also, I'd like to add the names of Tina Ward-Pugh and Tom Owen to the list of Democrats who I'd like to see defeated and run out of town. They are both a detriment to their respective districts and will not be missed in any way whatsoever.

    1. I've been here writing for four years. I've never liked him much, and I've said so plenty of times. I tend to ignore him mostly.
