A similar "high-risk" situation existed at a power plant in Knoxville, Tennessee. A wall of a retention pond for coal ash failed, and sent a high speed tidal wave of poison sludge that wrecked the neighborhoods surrounding the facility. Read that story HERE.
I think its time for eon to prove the stability and safety of the areas that would be affected by these retention ponds.i guess since were are not in the downtown area the mayor and our local government can just hope for the best that a disaster does not strike.
